About the DJ
Based in Seattle, DJ Tamm has been a steady force in the trance music scene for over 20 years. His radio career began in 2000 when he took over as host and DJ of Nocturnal Transmission on Seattle’s DANCE 89.5 FM — Since then, Nocturnal Transmission has become a midweek tradition, delivering three hours of trance every Wednesday night from 9 PM to midnight.
Tamm’s signature sound blends melodic builds, driving rhythms, and atmospheric elements, showcasing a wide range of trance subgenres. Influenced by artists like Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate, and Giuseppe Ottaviani, his sets are known for their emotional depth and energetic flow.
In addition to his long-running residency on Nocturnal Transmission, Tamm also DJ’d the Drive @ 5 mix show on DANCE 89.5 for over 10 years. Airing every Tuesday and Thursday evenings during rush hour he featured the latest dance tracks and club hits.
Off the air, Tamm has performed at numerous clubs, raves, and events across the Pacific Northwest. He’s shared the stage with many international names such as Darude — (hosting him twice on Nocturnal Transmission) and supporting several live shows. He was also part of the 20th-anniversary celebration of Binary Finary’s iconic trance anthem, “1999” contributing a featured supporting set.
With a passion for trance that continues to grow, DJ Tamm remains dedicated to creating immersive musical experiences — on air, on stage, and in the hearts of listeners around the world.
