About the Host
Niko was welcomed into the DANCE 89.5 gang in 1996. An introvert to the core, she loves working behind the scenes on production and digital presence for the House of Von.
But on a fateful Monday night in late 1996 that found Trent with a case of laryngitis, Niko got in front of the mic and finally allowed her voice to be heard by the masses. After Save the Wave evolved into a morning mixshow, Niko occasionally joined Trent on-air for fundraising and StW anniversaries, marking herself as “happily semi-retired.”
Destiny intervened again in May of 2024 when Trent asked his wife to bring her quirky humor to his Tuesday night mixshow as the hostess of NuSkool + Ol’School.
